HomeMy WebLinkAbout1918-12-30 Adjourned MinutesDecember 30, 1918 Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Upon roll call Councilmember Wallenberg Klein erickson and Kassner responded. Meeting was called to determine who were elected for the ensuing term as Mayor and three Councilmembers. mr. Greene's attorney stated that there was nothing illegal in having Mr. Ton break the seal on the Ballot Box and produce the books. Motion made by Councilmember Klein that Mr. Ton produce the Election Books and turn them over to the Clerk. Seconded by Councilmember Wallenberg. Roll call on the above. Councilmembers Wallenberg yes Erickson yes Klein yes Kassner yes Mr. Ton broke the seal and produced the books handing them to the Clerk. Motion made by Councilmember Klein seconded by Councilmember Erickson that the Clerk signed over the Poll Books to the Council so they can canvas same and find the result of the election. Motion carried. Clerk handed over the books. Council proceeded and reported as follows: 133 voted 10 not voted 1 not checked 144 total registered People's Ticket Mayor S.H. Stevens 65 A.J. Erickson 2 year term 72 J.B. Hemmick 2 year term 62 g. Wallenberg 1 year term 65 Treasurer C.P. Jensen 68 Citizens Ticket E.F. Greene 67 J.R. Gilliland 58 G.R. Payne 58 Martin Lemon 64 C.P. Jensen 61 Motion by Councilmember Klein seconded by councilmember Kassner that we accept the count as found. Motion carried. meeting adjourned 10:10 PM. Joseph Hozack Clerk
