HomeMy WebLinkAbout1916-09-06 Special MinutesSpecial Meeting September 6, 1916 On a call issued by mayor Stevens a special meeting of the 9th council of the Town of Tukwila was held at Lutz Hall on September 6, 1916 at 8 PM. On roll call the following Councilmembers answered to their names: Kassner Klein Hemmick Myers Erickson. An ordinance was introduced authorizing the filling of Main Street from the east line of the Interurban tracks to low water mark on the Duwamish River. On motion of Councilmember Klein seconded by Councilmember Hemmick. The ordinance was allowed to take its usual course to be acted upon at the next regular meeting. Motion carried. On motion of Councilmember seconded by Councilmember Klein seconded by Councilmember Myers, the Clerk was instructed to call for bids for the filling of Main Street as prescribed by ordinance. Motion carried. The Clerk was instructed to write James Wold in regards to the propsitions of reopening a street connecting Lummitt Avenue with Belorite Street. The 1917 Budget of the estimated expenses was read by the Clerk and ordered placed on file. Councilmember Myers moved that the Clerk be instructed to insert the Notice to Taxpayers for the meeting Monday October 2, 1916 at 10 AM, with the estimated budget printed in one of the Town papers. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Klein and carried. Meeting adjourned.
