Councilman Kassner then introduced resolution= vindicating Judge Eurbzn of the charges preferred against hm which were re z:ci by the clerk, ter which the di s- cussion was resumed and a motion r:as finrlly mode by Councilman Kassner, seconded by Councilman Wollenberg t`?at. the reeolutione be adopted. Poll call vote taken which resulted ws follows Erickson, Klein and Heemink No. Lullenber- and Ka's -ner Yes. -Motion lost. The clerk reported that the riling cub.' .t owned oy the town, now -in the nail was unfit for use. Feferred to CouncilmGd'Mr repairs. Councilman Erickson recommended that a stump in Bluff Street be taken out. Referred to the Street Committee. "Tr. Heacock reported that the rope on the flag pole near the station had been destroyed and asked the council to ttnke action in the matter. Referred to the Street Com�►ittee. councilman Erickson recommended that the motorcycle belonging to the torn Sand now in storage in Seattle be brought, out to the garage in Tukwila.. Referred to the clerk to bring out. No further business appearing, the council adjourned at 11:00 P. M. r wn Clerk. Tukwila, 1 .74sh. March 5th 1919. The Mass Meeting for the purpose of ascertaining the sentiment of the ppeople of Tukwila in regard to a bond issue to raise funds for necessary street improvements was postponed from February 24th to Larch 5th by order of the council, The meeting was held on the latter date in Lutz fall and called to odder by the Mayor at 8 :30 P. M. The first order of business was the election of chairman, which result- ed unanimously in favor of Mayor Greens. E. F. Lutz was appointed secretary. The Chairman stated the object of the meeting and called on Mr. F. J. Klein for an outline as to the improvements needed upon the streets of Tukwila during the coming year. Mr. Klein gave an itemized list of these improvements which would total about $7000.00 and recommended a bond issue to raise sufficient funds. The chairman made a short talk upon the cost of the bonds and asked for opinions on the matter from the different citizens present. After a short dis- cussion, a motion was made by Mr. North, seconded by Mr. Gilliland that the Council have full power to act. The discussion was resumed, followed by short talks in favor of the proposition by several citizens, after which a vote was called for, resulting in the motion being carried. Mr. Lutz then made a short talk upon the Council of Patriotic Service, urging payment of delinquent dues by the membership. No further business appearing, the meeting adjourned at 9 :30 P. M.
