HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-06-02 New Council MinutesTukwila, Wash., June 2, 1924 The first meeting of the Seventeenth Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:10 P. M. There were present Councilman H. E. Ives, Councilmena Elect G.V. Harrison, A.G. Berg, Fred Nord, P.S. Gade and Treasurer Elect C.P. Jensen. Messrs Harrison, Berg, Nord, Gade and Jensen were then sworn into their respective offices by the Mayor. The Mayor announced the following_appointments: Clerk E.E. Lutz Police Magistrate J.L. Durbin Marshal F.E. Henke following which he swore them into their respective offices. Mayor Greene then announced the various committees of the Council and gave a short talk welcoming all the incoming officers. The several members of the Council each made a few remark: relative to their taking office after which it was moved, seconded and carried that all the appointments made by the Mayor be confirmec The Mayor appointed Councilmen Nord and Berg as a special committee to investigate the complaint of Mr. F. Gott filed at a former meeting and instructed the clerk to furnish them with a copy of the complaint. No further business appearing the Council adjourned to meet in regular session on Thursday, June 12th. Approved: Mayor Cllark)
