HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-06-12 Regular MinutesThe regular monthly meeting of the Council of the Town of Tukwila was called to order by the Mayor on the above date at 8:15 P. There were present Mayor E.F. Greene, Councilmen H.E. Ives, P.S.G G.V. Harrison, Fred Nord and A.G. Berg. Minutes of the last regular and special meetings were read the Clerk and approved as read. BILLS The following bills were read by the Clerk and after being approved by the Finance Committee it was regularly moved, seconded an carried that they be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amount COMMUNICATIONS The Town Treasurers monthly report was read by the Clerk an ordered placed on file. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES Special Committee Councilman Nord: The complaint of Mr. F. Gott has been investigated and it i recommended that the matter be referred to the Street Committee to make the necessary repairs. So ordered by the Mayor. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Councilman Gade presented a Resolution regarding the Bone Power Bill. Moved and Seconded that the Resolution 24 be adopted. Motion carried. A petition for disincorporating the Town was presented and read by the Clerk. Referred to a special committee of Councilmen Harrison, Ives and Nord to investigate and report at the next meeting The question of destroying thistles and other noxious weeds throughout the Town was brought up and referred to the Street Committ Councilman Gade presented his resignation as councilman whi was read by the Clerk. After some discussion it was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the matter be laid over until the next regu meeting. Motion carried. It was reported that Mr. J. Johnson was ill and in need of assistance. The Mayor appointed Councilman Ives to confer with Mr. A. Erickson and provide the necessary relief. 9:00 P. M. Approved: G.E. Heyne Tukwila 15 00 A.E.
