SUBJECT: Appointment to Planning Commission
Jim Haggerton, Mayor
There will be a vacancy in Position #1 (resident) on the Planning Commission at the end of this
month (3/31/10).
I am pleased to forward to you the application of Louise Strander. Ms. Strander has been self
employed in real estate management in Tukwila for the past 20 years, and serves on the board
of directors for the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce, currently as the vice
president representing Tukwila. Ms. Strander will be filling the vacancy created by Chuck
Parrish, who has indicated he will not be asking for reappointment to the commission, with a
term to expire 3/31/2014.
Unless I hear otherwise from members of Council before March 10, I recommend forwarding
this to the Regular City Council Meeting of March 15, 2010, for confirmation of Ms. Strander's
appointment, effective 4/1/10.
