SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER Mayor Rants called the Special Meeting to order at 10:40 p.m.
ROLL CALL JOE DUFFIE, JOAN HERNANDEZ, JIM HAGGERTON, Council
President; ALLAN EKBERG, STEVE MULLET, PAM CARTER, PAM
LINDER.
OFFICIALS JOHN MCFARLAND, City Administrator; BOB NOE, City Attorney;
ROSS EARNST, Public Works Director; ALAN DOERSCHEL, Finance
Director.
CONSENT AGENDA a. Approval of Vouchers: Nos. 200919 through 201018 in the amount of
$281,300.90.
OLD BUSINESS
Res. #1381 establishing
a lodging tax adv. cmte.
Sunshine Ridge siding
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY CARTER, TO APPROVE THE
CONSENT AGENDA AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED (7 -0).
MOVED BY EKBERG, SECONDED BY MULLET, THAT THE
PROPOSED RESOLUTION BE READ BY TITLE ONLY. MOTION
CARRIED.
Attorney Bob Noe read A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING A
LODGING TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
MOVED BY HERNANDEZ, SECONDED BY DUFFIE, THAT
RESOLUTION NO. 1381 BE APPROVED AS AMENDED. MOTION
CARRIED (7 -0).
Mayor Rants informed the Council that the contractors are requesting they
be allowed to place the siding on the Sunshine Ridge Condominium project
while the weather is good. The contractors have made changes to the
project which have been approved by staff. This would not negate the fact
that the contractors will still have to come before the Council regarding
setbacks and other construction activities.
It was the consensus of the Council to approve the installation of siding at
Sunshine Ridge Condominium.
