CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Pro Tem Pamela Linder called the meeting to order at 9:19 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Joe Duffie, Joan Hernandez, Pamela Linder, Mayor Pro Tem; Steve Mullet, Pam
Carter, Jim Haggerton and Dave Fenton.
OLD BIJSINESS: An ordinance amending Ordinance 1796. Section 3: amending Ordinance
1768_ Sections 3 and 5: creating TMC Section 9.48.090. and creating
TMC Section 14.36.040 to provide for an administrative anneal of Tyne I
decisions: reauiring a public hearing within 60 days pursuant to RCW
36.70A.390: providing for severabilitv: and establishing an effective date.
Moved by Councilmember Duffie; seconded by Hernandez; to read the proposed ordinance
by title only. The motion carried (7 -0).
City Administrator John McFarland read the proposed ordinance by title only.
Moved by Councilmember Duffie; seconded by Carter; the ordinance be adopted as read.
The motion carried (7 -0).
Mr. McFarland noted the City will move for summary judgment in Superior Court to have the
item remanded back now that a process is in place. Further, he explained that by law, an
ordinance of this nature requires a public hearing within 60 days to consider its contents (the
process).
ADJOURNMENT:
At 9:22 p.m., having no other business to come before the Council, it was Moved by
Councilmember Haggerton; seconded by Fenton; to adjourn the special meeting of the
Tukwila City Council. The motion carried (7 -0).
