Permeability of this layer is 2.0 to 3.5 in. /hr. 36 - 48 inches, grayish silt loam with numerous reddish redox concentrations. Please understand that soils formed in fluvial sediments may differ significantly from one another within relatively short distances. My sense is that the initial infiltration trenches have too little capacity for infiltrating the water from each of the planned buildings, in view of the relatively slow permeability rate of the soils at the sites. The surface area of the bottom of each trench should be large enough to accommodate the anticipated quantity of inflowing water. More bottom surface area may be required in each trench. As an alternative to increasing the surface area of the bottom of each trench, F and /or in combination with that procedure, about six bore holes may be extended from the bottom of the trenches, to a depth of about 6 feet below the present ground surface. The borings, about 6 inches in diameter, would be backfilled with washed pea gravel, covered with the crushed rock presently in l place, all topped with a protective filter fabric, placed very carefully. It has come to our attention that the Engineering call out on the plans in the Upper Floor bathroom was not installed correctly. The problem is that ' the bathtub is not making it physically possible to install the engineering as it was called out. The most timely, and cost effective solution, is to change _ the lateral calculations to show a shorter shear wall. This new shear wall could be installed around the bathtub. The following Lateral plots are from the original submittal and the fix for the new shear wall.
