AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY
BOODE PROPERTY
WHEREAS pursuant to RCW 35.13.125 Dorothy Boode
notified the City Council of the City of Tukwila of her inten-
tion to commence annexation proceedings and whereas the City
met with the initiating party to determine whether the City
would accept the proposed annexation and then decided that it
required the assumption of the existing City indebtedness by
the area to be annexed and,
WHEREAS a petition for annexation as then presented
to and filed with the City Council signed by the owner of One
Hundred Per Cent (100 in value according to the assessed
valuation for general taxation and said petition included the
legal description of the property together with a plat outlining
the boundaries of the property and said petition set forth that
the area to be annexed was required to assume the existing in-
debtedness of the City and,
WHEREAS a date for public hearing on said petition
was then set by the City Council of the City of Tukwila for
January 18, 1965 and notice of said hearing was given pursuant
to the provisions of RCW 35.13.140 and,
WHEREAS the area proposed for annexation was less than
ten (10) acres and less than Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($200,000.00) in assessed valuation the Review Board procedure
was dispensed with in accordance with the provisions of RCW 35.

WHEREAS a public hearing was held on January 18, 1965
at the Council chambers in the City Hall of the City of Tukwila

and there being no objectors to the proposed annexation and.,
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Tukwila
determined that said property should be annexed to the City of
Tukwila.

NOW THEREFORE, the City of Tukwila do ordain as
Section 1: Pursuant to the foregoing the following
described real property is hereby annexed to the City of Tukwila:

Section 2: All property within the territory annexed
shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same
basis as the property of the City of Tukwila is assessed and
taxed to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City con-
tracted prior to, or existing at, the date of annexation.
Section 3: Said territory described above shall be-
come a part of the City of Tukwila on March 8, 1965.
Section 4: The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
this Ordinance in the City of Tukwila legal newspaper and is directed
to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the King County Board
of County Commissioners.
