1: ** *BUILDING DEPARTMENT CONDITIONS * **
2: No changes shall be made to the approved plans unless approved by the design professional in responsible charge and the
Building Official.
3: All mechanical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the City of Tukwila Permit Center
(206/431- 3670).
4: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be at the job site and available to the inspectors prior to
start of any construction. These documents shall be maintained and made available until final inspection approval is
granted.
5: New suspended ceiling grid and light fixture installations shall meet the non - building structures seismic design
requirements of ASCE 7.
6: Partition walls that are tied to the ceiling and all partitions greater than 6 feet in height shall be laterally braced
to the building structure.
7: All rack storage requires a separate permit issued through the City of Tukwila Permit Center. Rack storage over 8 -feet
in height shall be anchored or braced to prevent overturning or displacement during seismic events. The design and
calculations for the anchorage or bracing shall be prepared by a registered professional engineer licensed in the State
of Washington.
8: There shall be no occupancy of a building until final inspection has been completed and approved by Tukwila building
inspector. No exception.
9: Remove all demolition rubble and loose miscellaneous material from lot or parcel of ground, properly cap the sanitary
sewer connections, and properly fill or otherwise protect all basements, cellars, septic tanks, wells, and other
excavations. Final inspection approval will be determined by the building inspector based on satisfactory completion of
this requirement.
10: Manufacturers installation instructions shall be available on the job site at the time of inspection.
11: All electrical work shall be inspected and approved under a separate permit issued by the Washington State Department
of Labor and Industries (206/248- 6630).
12: VALIDITY OF PERMIT: The issuance or granting of a permit shall not be construed to be a permit for, or an approval of,
any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any other ordinances of the City of Tukwila. Permits
presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the code or other ordinances of the City of Tukwila
shall not be valid. The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the
Building Official from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data.

25: Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for a duration of not less than 90
minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system
provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or on -site generator. (IFC 1006.1, 1006.2, 1006.3)
26: Means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means
of egress is occupied. The means of egress illumination level shall not be less than 1 foot - candle (11 lux) at the

To Whom it May Concern:
Per your request, I am writing to confirm the access policy of our new space at Riverfront
Technical Park (RTP) in Tukwila. This space will be staffed by current Federal Reserve
Employees that will be relocating from our existing office located in downtown Seattle.
Per Federal Reserve Security guidelines, this space will be secured with our standard
card access system, which incorporates proximity readers at each access door. Access
badges for entry to the RTP site will be given only Federal Reserve Bank employees
who are authorized to work full time at the site. These employees are very
knowledgeable of the functionality and requirements of the security system, as it mirrors
that used at our other District locations. Also per our Security guidelines, all vendors or
visitors must be escorted at all times by an authorized employee, and deliveries of
materials and supplies will be received through the secured shipping and dispatch areas.
Our Security and safety guidelines also require us to conduct quarterly fire evacuation
drills at each of our FRB sites. These drills, which will also be developed for the RTP
site, are designed to ensure that all employees are familiar with the proper fire egress
routes. Logs of these drills will be maintained by on -site management.

A Building Division conducted a plan review on the subject permit application. Please address the
following comments in an itemized format with revised plans, specifications and /or other applicable
documentation.
PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size 11x17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size).
(Drawing and structural calculations sheets shall be original signed wet stamp not copied.)
1 The existing corridor system may be 1 hour rated construction. Department policy would require
maintaining the rated construction. The new Security Vestibules in the corridor (hallway 105) shown on
(A -111) does not meet egress requirements under the 2003 IBC. Revise plans to meet "Corridor
Continuity" (IBC 1016.5), "Door swing" (IBC 1008.1.2) and "Egress width" (IBC Section 1005) and
preserves consistency of the corridor.
2 Page (A -111 and A-801) shows installation of an awning on the exterior of the building. Provide
engineered design of awning frame with details that show how the awning shall attach to the building.
