Demolition and installation work includes, but is not limited to, the following: removal of
all flashings, insulation, asphalt membrane, bituminous materials, adhesives, sheet
metal, leads, granules, conduits, CSPE (Hypalon). flashings, wall coverings, expansion
joint and wood blocking. These items will require disposal in a waste facility.
The new roof that is being installed (FM 1 -90, UL Class A) will consist of the following
material described from substrate to surface:
1) Concrete Deck (existing building structure)
2) Hot mopped type III asphalt adhesive
3) Type IV felt vapor retarder
4) Hot mopped type III asphalt adhesive
5) 3 inches polyisocyanurate rigid insulation board
6) Hot mopped type III asphalt adhesive

9) Flood coat of modified asphalt imbedded with gravel as a weathering surface

Maintenance Building Roof Resurfacing:
The 45,040 square foot roof at King County Metro Transit's South Base — Maintenance
Building will be resurfaced to extend the useful life of this roof system another 10 years.
The existing insulated built -up roof consists of the following materials described from the

The resurfacing work under this Contract includes miscellaneous roof flashing repairs
and removal of any loose roof surface material and debris on the existing Tremco SEBS
built -up roofing system followed by the application of a new coating of cold applied
solvent based rubberized asphaltic adhesive with granule surfacing.
There will be no structural changes made under this portion of the Contract.

Per the International Building Code and /or the International Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the
provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not
commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or
abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
Call the City of Tukwila Permit Center at 206 -431 -3670 to arrange for the next or final inspection.
This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if
the project should be considered abandoned.
If such determination is made, the Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve a one -time extension up to 180 days.
Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances beyond the applicants control have
prevented action from being taken.
In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 09/27/2005, your permit will become null and
void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees.

Per the International Building Code and/or the International Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the
provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not
commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or
abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days.
Based on the above, you are hereby advised to:
Call the City of Tukwila Permit Center at 206 - 431 -3670 to arrange for the next or final inspection.
This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if
the project should be .considered abandoned.
If such determination is made, the Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve a one -time extension up to 180 days.
Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances beyond the applicants control have
prevented action from being taken.
In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 04/12/2005, your permit will become null and
void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees.
