SPECIAL MEETING
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Haggerton called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to order at 9:18 p.m. directly
following the Committee of the Whole meeting
ROLL CALL
Melissa Hart, Deputy City Clerk, called the roll of the Council. Present were Councilmembers Joe Duffie,
Joan Hernandez, Dennis Robertson, Allan Ekberg, Verna Seal, Kathy Hougardy, and De'Sean Quinn
CITY OFFICIALS
Steve Lancaster, City Administrator; Shawn Hunstock, Finance Director; Bob Giberson, Public Works
Director; Stephanie Brown, Human Resources Director; Nick Olivas, Fire Chief; Chris Flores, Assistant
Fire Chief; Mary Miotke, Information Technology Director; Kimberly Matej, Council Analyst; Melissa Hart,
Deputy City Clerk.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A motion to direct that the final 2011 2012 budget, brought to the City Council for action, restore
the 3 firefighter positions identified for elimination in the City's preliminary budget.
MOVED BY ROBERTSON, SECONDED BY DUFFIE TO DIRECT THAT THE FINAL 2011 -2012
BUDGET, BROUGHT TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR ACTION, RESTORE THE 3 FIREFIGHTER
POSITIONS IDENTIFIED FOR ELIMINATION IN THE CITY'S PRELIMINARY BUDGET. MOTION
CARRIED 7 -0.
ADJOURNMENT
9:19 p.m. MOVED BY HERNANDEZ, SECONDED BY ROBERTSON THAT THE SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE TUKWILA CITY COUNCIL BE ADJOURNED. MOTION CARRIED 7 -0.
