Memo To File Reference: Permit D04 -226 Tukwila Gardens Apts. (Fire Damage Repair) On August 16, 2004 I wrote corrections at the above stated permit site. I met with the manager and wrote several corrections under report # 7. One of the corrections requested a re- inspection with the roofing contractor on site as soon as possible to go over corrections and concerns documented same date. The re- inspection was never called for. Out of concern I stopped to inspect the site today's date. I found 2 workers doing repairs for venting the roof. I discovered that the roof had not yet been weathered in. I asked the workers why the roof was not been weathered in, they indicated there were dollar issues with the owner. Consequently the adjacent two units to the fire- damaged units (which are under the same roof), now have serious water damage throughout both units. I wrote correction report # 8 this same date, requiring that the scope of work now be expanded to included water damaged wall board and insulation.
