The extinguisher(s) should be of the "all purpose" (2A, 10 B:C) dry chemical type. The travel distance to any extinguisher must be 75' or less. If an arrow is provided as part of the exit sign, the construction shall be such that the arrow direction cannot be readily changed. (IFC 1011.5.1) 22: Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for a duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or on -site generator. Where the fee arrangement is to be on an hourly basis, stated fees shall not be exceeded by more than 10 percent without written approval of the Client. Hourly rates shall be those that prevail at the time services are rendered. This contract and associated fees are good for 90 days from the contract date to the commencement of substantial work. If for any reason substantial work does not start within 90 days from the contract date the fees can be renegotiated. BILLINGS & PAYMENTS: Invoices for DCI's services shall be submitted, at DCI's option, either upon completion of such services or on a monthly basis. STANDARD OF CARE: Services provided by DC1 under this Agreement will be performed in a manner consistent with that degree of care and sldI1 ordinarily exercised by members of the same profession currently practicing under similar circumstances, Upon notice to DCI and by mutual agreement between the parties, DC1 will correct those services not meeting such a standard without additional compensation. COST EMMATES: Cost estimates provided by DCI is on the basis of experience, judgement and available cost publications. . Since market conditions and bidding procedures are not cortisistent from job to job, DCI does not warrant that bids or as built construction costs will not vary from the cost estimates provided by our firer, exceed the construction contract sum. The client agrees that the Owner or Owner's Agent will budget funds equal to 40/0 minimum of the actual construction costs as a contingency reserve to be used, as required, to pay for any such increased project costs. No claim will be made by way of direct or third - party action against DCI or DCI's consultants with respect to any payments within the limit of the contingency reserve made to the construction contractors because of such changes or because of any claims made by the construction contractors relating to such changes.
