No changes will be made to the plans unless approved by the Tukwila Building Division. 2. Plumbing permits shall be obtained through the Seattle -King County Department of Public Health. Plumbing will be inspected by that agency, including all gas piping (296- 4722). 3. Electrical permits shall be obtained through the Washington State Division of Labor and Industries and all electrical work will be inspected by that agency (248- 6630). 4. The structural elements of this dwelling shall result in a system which provides a complete load path capable of tran- sferring all loads and forces from their point of origin to the load resisting elements. All new framing and alteration s shall meet this requirement. Compliance with this require ment shall be subject to field inspection during framing in- spection. 7. All bedrooms that have been developed at the basement level shall be provided with at least one operable window approved for emergency escape or rescue which shall open directly into a yard or exit court. The emergency window shall be operable from the inside to provide a full clear opening without the use of separate tools. Escape or rescue windows shall have a minimum net clear openable area of 5.7 S.F. The minimum net clear openable height dimension shall be 24 ",the minimum net clear openable width dimension shall be 20" and they shall have a finished sill height not more than 44 "abov e the floor. 8. Smoke detectors shall be installed in all bedrooms and in the hallway or area giving access to each bedroom. Smoke detectors shall receive their primary power from the buildin g wiring and shall be equipped with a battery backup. Smoke detector shall emit a signal when the batteries are low. 9. Where structural elements are being altered (walls), these elements shall be deemed to comply with the energy code if all existing framing cavities which are exposed during con- struction are filled to the full depth with batt insulation. All "Faced" insulation shall be face stapled to avoid comp- ression. The proposed R -11 insulation proposed for walls will meet this requirement provided that the insulated wall is of 2x4 framing. 10. Where roof insulation was removed to the level of the roof sheathing or previously non existent the exi g; ing roof shall be insulated to the requirements of the Washington State Energy Code. In this specific instance R -30 insulation is required. Attic spaces shall be provided with cross vent- ilation. Compliance with these requirements will be subject to field inspection. The existing deck from the second floor bedroom is provided access by an existing door. This deck shall be provided with guard railings in accordance with the Uniform Building Code, or the existing door shall be made permanently inoper- able in an approved manner.
