A ORDINANCE of the City of Tukwila terminating the
Municipal Court of the City of Tukwila and directing the filing
Of suits on behalf of the City of Tukwila in the Renton District
Justice Court.

AN ORDINANCE of the City of Tukwila terminating the
Municipal Court of the City of Tukwila and directing the filing
of suits on behalf of the City of Tukwila in the Renton District
Justice Court.
WHEREAS, the City of Tukwila by Ordinance No. 34
created a Municipal Court entitled "The Municipal Court of the
Town of Tukwila," and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of
Tukwila to have the jurisdiction of said Municipal Court trans-
ferred to the Renton District Justice Court, and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 299 of the
State of Washington Session Laws of 1961 the City of Tukwila
has authority to terminate said Municipal Court, NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUKWILA, as follows:
Section 1: That the City Attorney for the City of
Tukwila is hereby directed to transfer all actions now pending
before the Municipal Court of the City of Tukwila to the Renton
District Justice Court, on December 1, 1964.
Section 2: The Chief of the Police of the City of
Tukwila and all other persons or bodies with authority to file
actions on behalf of the City of Tukwila are hereby directed to
file in the Renton District Justice Court all actions for viola-
tions of the City of Tukwila Ordinances, and all other actions
brought to enforce or recover license or forfeitures declared or
given by such City Ordinances or by any state statutes.
Section 3: That pursuant to the authority conferred by

Chapter 299 of the State of Washington Session Laws of 1961
the said Municipal Court is hereby terminated as of December 1,
1964.
Section 4: That all fees, costs, fines, forfeitures
and other monies imposed or collected by the Renton District
Justice Court for the violation of any Municipal Ordinance,
together with other revenues received by said Court, and re-
turned to the City of Tukwila shall be deposited with the City
Treasurer as a part of the general fund of the City of Tukwila.
Section 5: That the City Treasurer is hereby authorized
to pay from the general fund of the City of Tukwila all filing
fees and court costs incurred when actions are filed in the
Renton District Justice Court pursuant to this Ordinance.
Section 6: Upon the transfer of said actions as set forth
in Section 1 the present Municipal Judge shall make a full and
complete audit of the Municipal Court's records and transfer all
funds to the Renton District Justice Court.
Section 7: Any and all Ordinance or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 8: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA AND APPROVED
BY THE MAYOR this 16th clay of ovember, 1964.
