CALL FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the City of Tukwila, Washington, at the
office of the City Clerk, Tukwila City Hall, 6200 Southcenter Boulevard, Tukwila, Washington, up to the
hour of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, the 3rd day of March, 2011. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at
10:00 a.m. on Thursday, the 3rd day of March, 2011 fora fleet of:
THIRTY FOUR (34) GAS POWERED GOLF CARTS
All bidders must certify they are on neither the Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors, nor the
list of parties excluded from Federal procurement or non procurement programs.
Bids will be considered only for new equipment. Bidders may offer several different golf carts; however,
separate bid sheets must be submitted for each device.
Each bid shall be in accordance with the bid documents available from the Parks and Recreation
Department, 12424 42 Avenue South, Tukwila, Washington, 98168. Telephone (206) 767 -2332.
The original bid and two copies must be submitted to the City Clerk for each piece offered, to:
City Clerk's Office, 6200 Southcenter Blvd., Tukwila, Washington 98188, no later than 9:00 a.m. on
Thursday, March 3, 2011, and must be clearly marked as follows:
BID FOR THIRTY FOUR (34) GAS POWERED GOLF CARTS
Pricing and delivery shall be F.O.B. Foster Golf Links, 13500 Interurban Avenue, Tukwila, WA, 98168.
There is no Washington State sales tax for this purchase (as sales tax is charged at the time of rental).
A municipal corporation of the State of Washington, the City of Tukwila is exempt from federal excise tax;
thus, such tax may not be included. If necessary, upon acceptance of articles supplied under this order,
the City agrees to furnish bidder with an Exemption Certificate.
Foster Golf Links has Ten (10) 2005 Club Car Precedent Golf Carts that will be traded in as part of this
purchase.
The City of Tukwila notifies all bidders it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant
to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in
response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, sex or
national origin in consideration for an award.
Only firm bids will be accepted and the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any
irregularities and informalities in the bidding and make the award as deemed to be in the best interests of
the City.
