Per the International Building Code and/or the International Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days. Based on the above, you are hereby advised to: Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or final inspection. This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if the project should be considered abandoned. Marginal Way S, Tukwila, WA. The two structures that fall within this boundary are the brick building and water tank. The water tank is a steel structure, of which is all above ground. This structure will be dismantled to the ground, and cut into pieces small enough to be exported from the site. The brick building will have the roof removed, walls taken down to an elevation roughly even with existing terrain and the slab on grade will be removed. The brick, concrete and other masonry will be crushed and sorted on site, further inland, and used for backfill as part of our site development plan under separate permit. We do not anticipate any issues with sediment run -off, but will install filter fabric at the operating catch basins in the vicinity as a precaution. Although we have focused on the structures that fall within the 200' ordinary high water mark, this approach to the demolition of the structures is currently planned for the other three buildings to be demolished per the permits recently issued by the City of Tukwila.
