S. 9th Bellevue, Washington Dear Sir: A Plan Check of your proposed remodeling job at the Southcenter Shopping Center has revealed the following deficiencies: 1. The building lies in Fire Zone 01, therefore all wood used in this job must be fire treated for no less than a one (1) hour rating. 2. In several details, -' - inch Gypsum Board is called for. This is not allowable. All Gypsum Board must be of a minimum 5/8 inch thickness to meet the Fire Zone #1 requirement. (See short vertical wall detail in section "C ".) 3. At the new location of the sink the surrounding wall must be of water - resistant wall board or the wall finish must be non- absorbant type. 4. The Fire Protection Sprinkler System must be checked and approved by the City of Tukwila Fire Marshal before an occupancy permit will be issued. 5. Occupancy during construction is not permitted. 6. Temporary occupancy will be allowed provided: a. A solid wall partition is constructed to separate the construotion area from the occupied area. This partition should have a door access and is understood to be a temporary structure. Such a partition shall be si :bject to approval by the Fire Marshal and /or the Building Official. b. That the sprinkler system be completely operable subject to the approval of the Fire Marshal. c. Before a occupancy is resumed, the Fire Marshal and the Building Official must be notified, and inspection held and approval to occupy granted.
