A non — structural plans Check of your proposed remodel job has revealed
your plane to be extremely poor in quality, extremely lacking in information
and extremely difficult to check. Therefore, any requirements for your
project herein omitted, but found upon inspection of the job shall be
complied with by your firm.
The following list contains requirements for your project as found in the
1970 Edition of the Uniform Building Code and the Tukwila Municipal Code:
1. All construction must conform to the requirements of Fire
Zone I as provided in the 1970 U.B.C.
a. If fire retardant wood studs are used, certification of
their .performance must be furnished this office.
b. All walls, ceiling and floor construction must be of approved
one —hour .fire resistive assembly.
2,.Automatio sprinkler system drawings must be submitted to the
Tukwila Fire Department for approval. Such drawings are to
include existing and revised sprinkler plans.
3. Required inspections by this office are:
Framing
Wallboard (before finished covering installed)
Final Inspection
A minimum twenty —four hour advance notice is required for
inspections. It is the responsibility of the builder : :to notify
this office of requests for inspection.
Other permits and inspections required by other agencies include:
a. Electrical permit and inspections by State of Washington
Dept. of Labor and Industries, Electrical Division.
b. Plumbing permit and inspections by King County Health Dept.
Evidence of these permits and inspections shall be presented to
this office at the time of the final inspection this office.
T N. SHALL B N0 OCCUPANCY' OF THIS remodeled area of the'building prior to
Final Inspection and issuance of an= Occupancy permit. 'Penalty.for'such
willful violation .of .the law is a minimum fine of $ 300.00. and 90 days in
fail for :each 24 hour period such violation is made. The individuals held
responsible for compliance with the law shall bes the Manager of the South-
center.ShoppingOenter, the Manager of the J: 0. Penney Company. at 1200
Southcenter Shopping Center, the leaaee of :thi$ new space and the builder
constructing this remodeled office spade.
