Dear Mr. Zepp:
Items to be included for fire department approval of the
proposed project;
1. Emergency lighting when power outage occurs, for steps in
hallway.
2. EYIT light installed above doors leading to hallway(double doors).
3. Relocation of ADT manual fire alarm station on exterior of building.
Location between show case.windows, next to door framing.
Remove all unnecessary EXIT lights
Hall EXIT light, in front of fire tower, shall have a directional
arrow installed, pointing towards exterior of building.
These recommendations are made to ensure safe and effective flows of
traffic of any person or persons within the building.
Please have authorized agent sign letter before permit is issued.

In reference to your letter of November 24, 1970 T would like
to recommend the following in relation to your remodeling plans.
1. All smoke detectors shall be wired into the super-
visory system, being ADT. This would indicate to
the fin department when these doors were used.
. Emergency flood lighting shall be provided in the
hall way to light the hall and the small set of
stepa.
Electrical panels,:in the hall shall be protected
to prevent tampering with switches. A key shall
be located so as to provide entrance for the fire
department, to control the switches
All panic hardware shall conform to the National
Fire Codes.
If the remodeling project is to proceed, the plans will again
be reviewed by my office before the building permit will be issued.
As it stands now, I can fore see no problems with the present plan.
