We are returning to you under separate cover the above subject
plan which has been checked for conformance with the Uniform
Building Code and following are the comments of our plan checker:
1. This plan check covers the shell of the building only. A
plan showing interior is to be submitted prior to such work
starting.
2. 20 square feet of wall opening is required in each 50
lineal feet of wall, for the purpose of fighting fire or the
rescue of people. The sprinkler system does not relieve this
condition, as it is needed for area increase .
3. Special inspection in conformance with Section 305 is re-
quired for the following work:
a. Structural concrete based on an ultimate compressive
strength in excess of 2000 pounds per square inch.
b. All structural and light gauge welding.
4. Precast concrete wall panels are limited to an h/t ratio
of 25. Section 2622 (e). And to be a minimum of 6 ", not 5 1/2
as indicated.
5. Glued - laminated lumber should be fabricated in accordance
with Section 2513 (c). A certificate of inspection should be
submitted to the building official. Section 2513 (e).
6. Plywood grades should conform with Table No. 25 -C.
