I °/ 1 '7/ 03 d • CITY OF TUKWILA Public Works Department 206 -433 -0179 PUBLIC WORKS BULLETIN IA TYPE C FEE ESTIMATE WORKSHEET Type C permit fees are based on the value of the construction work. The City collects an Application Fee when the application is submitted and a Permit Issuance and Inspection fee when the permit is issued. Applicable permits having flat rates are added to the calculated fees and are due when the permit is issued. You may use this form to estimate PW Permit fees. This is an estimate only. Actual fees may vary. If you do not provide contractor bids with your permit application, Public Works will review the cost estimates for reasonableness and may adjust estimates. The permit fee covers the cost for two reviews and two inspections. The permit fee does not include fees for additional reviews, additional inspections, or for revisions to approved plans. These fees are charged separately and must be paid before PW Final Inspection. Refer to Bulletins 1, 1B, 1C, and 12 for more information. There are two activities that trigger a Type C permit. They are 1) Construction in the right -of -way and /or on private property, and 2) Grading. The following information should help you determine if you need a Type C permit. There is less than 500 sq /ft of new drainage (impervious) area (net increase) proposed in the project. Most of the proposed new roof area will be located on the area that is existing paved driveway, walks, and an outbuilding at the south edge of the existing garage /shop. The net increase will be 254 sq /ft. The increase in area is at the south portion of the project and is the difference between the existing garage /shop south wall and new garage /shop /recreation room south wall. The 254 sq /ft net increase includes the new sidewalks and the removal of the outbuilding. Refer to the analysis diagram, attached. 2. Because of experience with crawl space drainage and basement drainage in the general vicinity of the subject building site, address the following foundation / floor drainage. a) To maintain the crawl space foundation construction, provide additional plan details to identify a footing drain discharge system. The discharge system generally must typically be separate from the roof drain system. Coordinate any combined discharge systems with the Tukwila Public Works Department. The intent is that groundwater will not accumulate in the crawl space. Review the following State Plumbing Code subsoil drain requirements for your design. U. P.C.
