3. SEAM SEALER
(A) The " Enhoncer" Edge Ravel Warranty will be in
effect on 'y when the seams hove been proper)
sealed with Subset -4000 Seam Sealer. The Edge
Ravel Warranty or. all Enhancer products is based
upon proper seam sealing techniques having been
used. When two cut widths of carpet ore brougr"t
together the seam sealer re;oins the primary
backing and will prevent seam 'raying or yarn
zippering out at seams. The seam sealer must be
applied at the level of the primary backing (the
backing into which the yarn is 'hserted).
(B) The seam sealer cannot be applied along the
floor and pushed up between the widths of
carpet. The cut edge of the cusr•ion will absorb
the seam sealer and prevent proper bonding.
(C) A cushion bock seam sealer bottle can be used to
simplify application of the seam sealer and to
assure placement of the seam sealer at the
proper level. The cushion back seam sealer can
be adjusted to change t+e level of placement of
the seam sealer as required_
4. CUTTING AND SEAMING TECHNIQISES
(A) Carpets with attached cushio ^s should be cut in
a manner which wil: not requ're compress of
the carpet and backing at seams. For that
reason the trace cutting methoc is suggested for
al; Enhancer backed carpets.
(B) All knives or cutters should be kept sharp to
assure the smoothest possible c:.t edge. If
possible, cuts should be made with the blade
beveled slightly into the attached cushion to
ovoid fullness at seams.
(C) It is extremely important that the carpet be cut
bock approximately 8 to 10 rows on each side of
the width. Th's is to assure consistent
thickness of the attached cushion. ,f the
attached cushion is not level after cutting. as
suggested. Shaw Industr'es's Technical Services
Department should be contoctec for further
instructions.

3. SEAM SEALER
(A) The " Enhoncer" Edge Ravel Warranty will be in
effect on 'y when the seams hove been proper)
sealed with Subset -4000 Seam Sealer. The Edge
Ravel Warranty or. all Enhancer products is based
upon proper seam sealing techniques having been
used. When two cut widths of carpet ore brougr"t
together the seam sealer re;oins the primary
backing and will prevent seam 'raying or yarn
zippering out at seams. The seam sealer must be
applied at the level of the primary backing (the
backing into which the yarn is 'hserted).
(B) The seam sealer cannot be applied along the
floor and pushed up between the widths of
carpet. The cut edge of the cusr•ion will absorb
the seam sealer and prevent proper bonding.
(C) A cushion bock seam sealer bottle can be used to
simplify application of the seam sealer and to
assure placement of the seam sealer at the
proper level. The cushion back seam sealer can
be adjusted to change t+e level of placement of
the seam sealer as required_
4. CUTTING AND SEAMING TECHNIQISES
(A) Carpets with attached cushio ^s should be cut in
a manner which wil: not requ're compress of
the carpet and backing at seams. For that
reason the trace cutting methoc is suggested for
al; Enhancer backed carpets.
(B) All knives or cutters should be kept sharp to
assure the smoothest possible c:.t edge. If
possible, cuts should be made with the blade
beveled slightly into the attached cushion to
ovoid fullness at seams.
(C) It is extremely important that the carpet be cut
bock approximately 8 to 10 rows on each side of
the width. Th's is to assure consistent
thickness of the attached cushion. ,f the
attached cushion is not level after cutting. as
suggested. Shaw Industr'es's Technical Services
Department should be contoctec for further
instructions.
