2: No changes will be made to the plans unless approved by the Engineer and the Tukwila Building Division.
3: Electrical permits shall be obtained through the Washington State Division of Labor and Industries and all electrical
work will be inspected by that agency (206- 835 - 1111).
4: All permits, inspection records, and approved plans shall be available at the job site prior to the start of any
construction. These documents are to be maintained and available until final inspection approval is granted.
5: All construction to be done in conformance with approved plans and requirements of the Uniform Building Code (1997
Edition) as amended, Uniform Mechanical Code (1997 Edition), and Washington State Energy Code (1997 Edition).
6: Validity of Permit. The issuance of a permit or approval of plans, specifications, and computations shall not be
construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the building code or of any
other ordinance of the jurisdiction. No permit presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this
code shall be valid.
8: The attached set of plans have been reviewed by The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the following
concerns:
9: Maintian sprinkler coverage per N.F.P.A. 13. Addition /relocation of walls, closets or partitions may require relocating
and /or adding sprinkler heads.
10: Sprinkler protection shall be extended to all areas where required, including all enclosed areas, below obstructions
and under overhangs greater than four feet wide. (NFPA 13- 4- 5.5.3.1)
11: All new sprinkler systems and all modifications to existing sprinkler systems shall have fire department review and
approval of drawings prior to installation or modification. New sprinkler systems and all modifications to sprinkler
systems involving more than 50 heads shall have the written approval of the W.S.R.B., Factory Mutual, Industrial Risk
Insurers, Kemper or any other representative designated and /or recorgnized by the City of Tukwila, prior to submittal
to the Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau. No sprinkler work shall commence without approved drawings. (City Ordinance
#1901)
12: All electrical work and equipment shall conform strictly to the standards of The National Electrical Code. (NFPA 70)
13: Contact the Tukwila Fire Prevention Bureau to witness all required inspections and tests. (UFC 10.503) (City Ordinance
#1900 and #1901)
14: Any overlooked hazardous condition and /or violation of the adopted Fire or Building Codes does not imply approval of
such condition or violation.

1. Provide source of freeze protection for fire sprinkler system.
Response:
For freeze protection, the proposed louver system at existing relite above door is intended to
share the warm inside air at project area. Please see sheet A2.1, floor plan and interior
elevation 1, 2, 2A/A2.1.
Please let me know any review comments I can pick up for building permit. We are waiting
for the permit as quickly as possible. Thanks for your review on this project.

This letter is to inform you of corrections that must be addressed before your development permit can be
approved. All correction requests from each department must be addressed at the sane time and
reflected on your drawings. I have enclosed comments from the Building Department. At this time the,
Fire, Planning and Public Works Departments have no comments.
Please address the attached comments in an itemized format with applicable revised plans,
specifications, and /or other documentation. The City requires that four (4) complete sets of revised
plans, specifications and /or other documentation be resubmitted with the appropriate revision
block.
In order to better expedite your resubmittal, a `revision sheet' must accompany every resubmittal. I have
enclosed one for your convenience. Corrections /revisions must be made in person and will not be
accepted throujih the mail or by a messenger service.

We, the property owner, allow your construction on Northeast comer of the building as
architect proposed Oct. 3, 2003. The addition will be done under existing roof structure with
additional ceiling insulation on enclosure area. This work does not have any change on
existing building portion.
This memo is a part of building permit application at City of Tukwila for the tenant to perform
