CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Mullet called the City Council Special meeting to order at 8:34 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Deputy City Clerk Bob Baker called the roll of Council. Present were Council President Joan Hernandez
and Councilmembers Joe Duffie, Pam Carter, Jim Haggerton, Pam Linder, Dave Fenton and Richard
Simpson.
John McFarland, City Administrator; Lucy Lauterbach; Council Analyst; Bob Baker, Deputy City Clerk;
Jim Schell, Tukwila Fire Department.
a. Accept as complete the Evergreen Food Service Storm Repair Project with
Americon Inc. /TAB Enterprises of Maple Valley; Authorize Release of
Retainage (Final Cost: $50,434.11)
b. Accept as complete the 2000 Small Drainage Projects with Lourie Contracting,
Inc.; Authorize Release of Retainage (Final Cost: $375,243.88)
c. Accept turnover of public infrastructures:
1) ER Properties, 12222 46th Ave. So.; 12" ADNS -N12 Pipe
Catch Basins. Value $3,600.00
2) Nguyen 4 -lot short plat, So. Ryan Way, next to 10440 47th Ave.
So.; 8" Iron Pipe and Fire Hydrant. Value $11,228.00.
d. Approve Fireworks Display Permit Family Fun Center
Duffle moved; Hernandez seconded; approval of the consent agenda, as presented.
The motion carried 7 -0.
OLD BUSINESS:
A Resolution Approving the 2002 -2007 Transportation Improvement Program
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA,
WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A SIX -YEAR TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, AND DIRECTING THE SAME TO BE FILED
WITH THE STATE SECRTARY OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE
TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT BOARD
Duffie moved; Carter seconded; reading of the proposed resolution by title only.
The motion carried 7 -0.

Duffle moved; Carter seconded; approval of the proposed resolution as read.
The motion carried 7 -0. APPROVED RESOLUTION #1465
ADJOURNMENT:
8:36 p.m. Haggerton moved; Duffie seconded; adjournment of the Special meeting.
The motion carried 7 -0.
