We were the general contractor doing the tenant improvement work. We had completed our contracted work and called for a final inspection on February 20th, 2004. At the final inspection there were a couple of small corrections, which have since been addressed. The main sticking point at the final was Dave Larsen's perception that the tenant should install a sawdust extraction system in the warehouse. A mechanical permit it M04 -137 was applied for, by David Kehle Architects.on behalf of Tuff Shed, on July 20, 2004. This was prior to either of the above permits expiring. It was determined by Ken Nelson that this work was not require on September 23rd 2004 and the mechanical permit was canceled. Notification of the relief of the sawdust extraction requirement and subsequent cancellation of the permit was not sent out until November 10th. As these events transpired both of the original building permits have expired What will be required of us to get the original (2) permits finalized? Stefania informed me that 1 should discuss this matter with you regarding renewal of the permits and What additional fees may be required. I am of the feeling that any additional fees should be waived since: a.) The sawdust extraction should not have been a requirement in the first place and b.) the passage of time that was required to get the final determination / notification. Our work at Tuff Shed had been completed, per the approved plans, when we called for our final inspection on February 20th. PIease contact me at your earliest opportunity to discuss this matter. Please revise the drawing to correct the setback and location of the display sheds. 2. Nine additional parking stalls are needed as the outdoor display area is classified as retail sales area. This brings the total number of required parking stalls to 44. It appears this tenant has access to 41 parking stalls total, so 3 additional parking stalls must be provided. q:\mydocs\general\2003-Memos\DO3-364-1.doc Steven M.
