VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of Community Development prior to application submittal. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). No application shall be extended more than once. The primary responsibility of this person was to close the JCPenney mall doors in case of an abnormal smoke condition. In order to meet this same function if an abnormal smoke condition does occur, the Southcenter Security Staff is instructed to proceed to this area and assist with the closing of the JCPenney mall doors. I have also notified JCPenney's regarding this matter and they will proceed to the mall doors and close them as quickly as possible if the need arises. Except as specified to the contrary, this contract shall include furnishing, installing, connecting, and operation of all equipment which is a part of the HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler systems. 2. This contract shall include a visit to the job site and take into considerat mechanical, electrical and general trade work in place and work to be put into place prior to bidding. Under this contract all locations shall be verified with all trades and that they are according to the latest information available. Should this not be done the work will be changed at no additional expense to the Owner. 3. The Owner reserves the right to make minor changes in locations of equipment or piping arrangements up to the time of rough-in without additional costs. 4. The drawings and specifications are intended to supplement each other and any material or labor called for in one shall be furnished even though not mentioned in both. Any material or labor which is neither shoen on the drawings nor called for in the specifications but which is obviously necessary to complete the work and which is usually included in work of a similar character shall be furnished under this contract. Unless otherwise noted. all excess materials and debris caused by this work shall become the property of the contractor and promptly removed from the-site. All fixtures and equipment installed shall be thoroughly cleaned weekly. All motors and equipment shall be covered or otherwise protected from construction dust and debris. No equipment other than those designed to are to be exposed to inclement weather•. F. GU EE 1. All labor and materials furnished under this contract shall be guaranteed for a period of one (1) year from date of final acceptance by the Owner which will eonmence upon the final inspection by the Engineer. During this time:. all leaks, correction of all the failures to such materiel and the correction of all discrepancies with drawing codes and the specifications shall be done under this contract at no additional expense to the Owner. II. SPRINKLER SYSTEM A. GENERAI. The work shall include a renovation plans and specifications, governing and as follows: a. Sprinkler system shall be designed existing system. b. System shall be installed in comeliance with Owner's standards. Owner's insurance carriers requirements, F.M., NPPA, Local Fire Department, State and Local Codes. C. All above ground sprinkler pipiae shall be steel. Also see original Mall specification: utilize the more stringent. System shall be designed and installed per NPPA -13 using, unless otherwise indicated on drawings, the ordinary hazard pipe schedule guide. 2. All sprinkler pipe shall be so installed so that the system can be drained in the sprinkler rooms or other areas approved by the Engineer in a method approved by the Engineer. 3. Before work is begun, six (6) sets of shop drawings and equipment specifications shall be submitted for approval to the Architect, Engineer, Owner's insurance underwriter (P.M.), fire department and all other approving bodies. Submit one reproducible sepia to Engineer with shop drawing. Concealed piping for sprinkler shall be installed in areas with finished ceilings. Purri.sh and install necessary hangers and miscellaneous steel for supporting the sprinkler piping. 4 . Hanger for sprinkler piping 3" and larger adjustable clevis type of the same material as pipe they are supporting. Hanger shall be spaced a maximum of 5'-0" on centers and are to attachgd to joist within 6" of joist panel point drillings or welding to joist is not permitted. Pipe 4" and larger routed parallel to joist are Co be located between and supported from two joist with 12 gage uniatrut spaced a maximum of S' -0" on centers located within 6" of joist panel points. The Mail Management, Central Station Contractor (i.e. ADT, etc.), Protection Mutual and the local fire department must be notified at least 40 hours prior to making any modifications to the existing fire protection system(s).
