Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review. VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 431 -3670 prior to submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). No application shall be extended more than once. The air sampling /return tubes shall extend into the duct to provide a continuous cross — section sampling of the air moving thru the system. The locotions of the detectors shall be as required by NFPA, BOCA and NEC Codec. The duct detectors shall be furnished by the electrical contractor and installed by the mechanical contractor. The power wiring and connections to the fire alarm system shall be by the electrical contractor. Control wiring between the ventilation system and the duct detector shall be by the mechanical contractor. System Operation: Actuation of the duct detector shall: Shut down HVAC system (as defined by NFPA) (by mechanical contractor). Sound an audible alarm in o normally ocuppied area and /or through the building fire alarm system. (by electrical contractor). Activate a `remote trouble indicator in a normolly occupied area and /or through the building fire alarm system. (by electrical contractor). Installations where there is no building fire alarm system: Loss of power in the duct detection system shall sound the so'alert, in the remote alarm panel, and the wall mounted vibrating bell. A silence control of the alarm panel shall disable the signals and illuminate an internal Tight at the stotion indicating the system has been silenced. The resetting of the system power shall not extinguish the internal Tight at the station until the silence switch Is returned the normal position.
