APPLICATION SUBMITTAL In order to ensure that your application is accepted for plan review, please make sure to fill out the
application completely and follow the plan submittal checklist on the reverse side of this form. Handouts are available at
the Building counter which provide more detailed information on application and plan submittal requirements.
Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review.
VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of
Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 431 -3670 prior to submitting
application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is
subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules.
BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor
licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this
permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall
expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180
days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition).
No application shall be extended more than once.

Our plan is to build this house back to previous condition with a few .
exceptions that are noted below.
This letter is to go with the permit application to give the inspectors an
overview of said property.
This home at said location was built in the 1940's with 2x4 -16 O.C. walls,
2x6 -16 O.C. floor with cement foundation. It has had about $10,000.00 to
15,000.00 damage.
NOTE 1
Areas shaded in green are burnt areas. They will be removed and replaced
back to existing 2x4 on 16 in. center, also any outside walls will be
insulated to fill the wall cavity.
Flooring shaded in yellow will also be replaced back to existing condition
2x6 on 16 in. centers with 3/4 in. plywood sub floor.
NOTE 2
All three floors will have to be re- sheetrocked, 1/2 rock will be used,
also any opened wall cavities will be filled to capacity with insulation,
as to code. Walls will be filled with R -11 insulation and attic to be
filled with R -30 insulation.
NOTE 3
Third floor will be left alone and not changed from existing except for the
following conditions.

Replace all sheet rock with 1/2 in. rock.

Insulations as to specs. below.

Re -roof down to .triemmm . 1/2 in. plywood will be used and 3 tab asphalt
shingles as per code.

Gutters will be repaired or replaced as needed
NOTE 4
All outside windows will be replaced with new thermopane insulated windows
per code. U -.53 & U -.64 rated. Door to be replaced with Stanley steel doors
R -11 rated.
NOTE 5
This house has a central gas fired furnace and gas hot water tank, it will
be .Gpa +ed --trot replaced.
NOTE 6 All other existing parts of house will be repaired not replaced.

Attic Insulation- Owens Corning R -30, 11in thick.

AS SUCH UNDER THIS APPROVAL. THIS ROOM MUST BE PROVIDED
WITH A WINDOW APPROVED FOR EMERGENCY ESCAPE AND RESCUE. PER

2. NEW FURNACE, DUCTING, AND WATER HEATER AT BASEMENT
SHALL BE INSTALLED UNDER A SEPARATE MECHANICAL PERMIT ISSUED
THROUGH THE. DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
CENTER. PROVIDE FOR OUTSIDE SOURCE OF COMBUSTION AIR IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLIANCE LISTING. MAINTAIN LISTING AND
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ON SITE, AVAILABLE TO BUILDING
