VanUuscn, dluyor Public Works Department has reviewed and approves the subject site plan per the following conditions and requirements. Call Denise Millard at 431 -3672, Permit Coordinator, to have the following permit prepared for pickup: 1. Storm Drainage Permit - (Permit Fee = $25.00) 2. Sidewalk/Access/Easement/Right-of-Way Permit - (Permit Fee= ,$25.00). Per our meeting on 4/5/91 the Development has indicated that they have upgraded their total improvements based on utility for the requirements to $ 135,000. Also, per the meeting, King County Assessment valuation (attached) indicates existing building structures are assessed at $ 3,023,800. No change in occupancy use results from these improvements. From our review of this information, Public Works staff concluded the following: The Sidewalk Ordinance is not triggered by this development and the tenent improvement does not create an environmental impact to use as a result of this tenent improvement. In our 4/5/91 meeting, Brian Shelton, Senior Traffic Engineer, indicated a 5 -lane street improvement on East Marginal Way S. will be carried out through a Public Works Project in the future. A 6' sidewalk within the property will be necessary as part of this street improvement. Therefore, requested to allow for uniform development of this project related to future City plans to carry out roadway improvements in East Marginal Way South is the donation of a 6'wide sidewalk easement. Requested under this permit and prior to C of 0 is the donation of this easement. Included documents for the easement donation is the following: A. Plan describing the easement. B. A legal description in words. C. A letter of request from the property owner for City acceptance of the easement. D. Two copies of the executed easement document in City's format. (City will record upon accepting) Your cooperation with the City with regards to matters of mutual interest is most appreciated. If you have any questions regarding this matter do not hesitate to call me at 433-0179. Hallstrom, AIA cc: Gordon Knudsen C BARNACLE MILK AS AN ADMIXTURE BARNACLE MILK is a superior cement adhesive when used with Portland cement as a basis for grouts mortars, toppings, and concrete mixes. Even when subjected to continua water immersion, BARNACLE MILK will provide a stronger cement adhesive compared to unmodified mortar. (See tests.) Thoroughly mix the cement with the desired substrate -- sand, gravel, marble chips, etc. The ratio of BARNACLE MILK to Portland cement is given in the following Table: Barnacle Milk Portland cement 1 Qt. 10 1 Gal, 40 # 2 -3/8 Gal. I 5 Gal. 55 G . dr . 94 d bag 200 I 2,222 t` After adding the proper amount o€•8ARNACLE MILK, stir in enough water to give the desired mixture. DO NOT USE BARNACLE MILK FULL STRENGTH. This gives very poor results because net enough water Is present to carry on proper hydration. You must odd water. Only use the recommended quantities and add water to give the desired consistency. When heavy impact strength is required, such as in industrial floors or highway patches, it is suggested that up to twice as much BARNACLE MILK be used. Do not use more water than is necessary to allow adequate workability. Addition of excess water, naturally, is undesirable as this will odversly affect the physical strength properties of the cured.mixture. For best reluults, do not use at temperatures below 5Q F. Cement will not set up under 50"'F. Allow 24 to 48 hours of wring time for normal use. For heavy traffic allow three days curing, BARNACLE MILK AS A BOND COAT BARNACLE MILK is excellent as a bonding agent for bonding two different substrates or bonding new cement to old. BARNACLE MILK penetrates into both surfaces being bonded together making the bond stronger than the substrates themselves, The bond coat acts to prevent the water content of the fresh mortar from being "wicked out" into the drier substrate. The result is a harder, denser "bonding mortar ". RECEIVED CITY OF Tt IKWILA MAR 1 5 19 i PERMIT CENTER To insure a proper bond the working surface must be thoroughly cleaned by removing all loose material, dust, grease, oil, water- soluble paints, and all other contaminants first. Dampen the area well but do rigt leave any standing water, Spray or brush on a thin coot of BARNACLE MILK undiluted or, If desired, dilute with three parts of water to each five parts of BARNACLE MILK , The bond coat may be allowed to dry before applying the new cement composition. The cement can also be applied if the bond coat is wet. For'best results, use BARNACLE MILK as an admixture in the "bonding mortar". Liquid Membrane - Forming Concrete Curing Compound A resin base, chlorinated rubber, curing, hardening, seating, and dust proofing compound. CRETESEAL penetrates into the pores of the concrete and iforms a continuous coherent film. CRETESEAL provides a clear, hard, finish, Additional coats will produce a glossy surface with a high refractivity factor. It can be applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces, above or below grade. Conforms to ASTM C -309, type 1 (clear). Non - freezing and resistant to fire after drying. Follow all solvent warning precautions while the product is drying. GREEN CONCRETE — After final troweling and disappearance of surface mnisutra, CRETESEAL can be applied. 01 D CONCRETE — Clean thoroughly with a Northco concrete cleaner. All grease, rubber marks, paint, and soil must be removed, The following Northco cleaners are recommended in order of ease, of use, and degree of soiling: DOUBLE DUTY, SKOOKUM, OZOFF, SUPER- BLITZ. Apply with sprayer or long-handled roller. Use a paint tray or similar container to dispense CRETESEAL onto the applicating roller. Do not pour out on the floor in puddles. Coat evenly avoiding puddles or pin holes. Do not over apply: additional CRETESEAL can always be added, if more gloss is desired. First coat - 350 to 450 square feet per gallon. Additional coats - 600 to 700 square feet per gallon. Dries hard in 45 minutes, allow this much time between coats, slightly longer In cold weather, NORTH COAST CHEMICAL CO., INC.
