Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review.
VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of
Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 431 -3670 prior to submitting
application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is
subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules.
BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT if the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor
licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this
permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall
expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180
days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition).
No application shall be extended more than once.

An economical and simple way to keep cases of glass organized. Just
mount a standoff angle on a blank wall (11/2" x 11" angle iron is
excellent), then hang the case brackets wherever you need thcm to
hold cases upright. This gives you the flexibility to arrange glass cases
how you need them, or leave the area clear whcn you have no cases
to store. CRL Glass Case Brackets are made of steel. and are
18" long. We suggest you support cases near the top and bottom ....

R120RACK Glass Storage Rack and 662C8 Case Brackets.
The R12ORACK storage system when properly'installed..is designed to
hold up to nine (9 ).cases or loose packs of glass, each weighing
4,000 pounds for a total'system capacity of 36,000 pounds.
The 662CB case brackets. should be mounted in such.a manner

The R120RACK storage system when properl installed is designed to
hold up to nine (9)•cases or loose packs of glass, each weighing
4,000 pounds for a total system capacity of•36,000 pounds.
The 662C8 case brackets .should be mounted - in su.ch. a manner that at
least four brackets (two . high, two low) .are. in contact with. the
glass cases. When this is done, the brackets are designed to
hold 4,000 -pound cases of glass.. This Capacity of course is
dependent on the mounting of which support the brackets
to the wall or. supporting. members..

The attached set of building plans have been reviewed by
The Fire Prevention Bureau and are acceptable with the
following concerns:
1. Exits and access to exits may not be obstructed. A
clear aisle to the required exit must be maintained. (UFC
12.103)
2. Refrain from blocking sprinker coverage with shelving.
NFPA Standard #13 states that any shelving or decks in
excess of 4 feet in width will require the installation of
sprinklers thereunder. (UFC 10.302)
In double row racks with heights of storage up to and
including 25', an average nominal 6" transverse flue,
space between loads or at rack uprights shall be
maintained. (NFPA 231C 4 -3.1) (Maintain longitudinal
flue space between double row racks)
High -piled combustible storage is combustible
materials in closely packed piles more than 15 feet in
height or combustible materials on pallets or in racks
more than 12 feet in height. For certain
special- hazard commodities such as rubber tires,
plastics, some flammable liquids, idle pallets, etc.,
the critical pile height may be as low as 6 feet.

4. All work shall conform with applicable codes and regulations.
5. Sec mechanical shop drawings for location and size of roof openings
for mechanical equipment. Ventilation per the 11)85 Uniform Building
Code.

10. Exit door hardware shall conform to U.b.C. Section 3303(C).
1. General Contractor shall verify all dimensions and building conditions
before commencing work.

access openings as reduii for mechanical and electrical equipment.
3. Chamfer all corners on exposed concrete walls.
7. All stud walls and partitions, including furred spaces, shall be fire
stopped per code.
General Contractor shall furnish and install approved protective pipe
guards around P.1. valves, Fi'.•c Department connections, electrical
transformers and has meters.
11. Complete fire alarms, hose stations, sprinklers and extinguisher layout
shat' be submitted her separate permit and approval of Washington Surrey
and Rating Bureau, Factory Mutual, and the governing Fire Depa"tnient..
