Date: July 29, 1991 SubjECT: Fort Dent II.Tenant improvement for Boeing #7 -68 Response to plan review comments of 28May91 Item 1 Proper designation of floor /ceiling assembly will be clarified by the building Architect, Ed Linardich. Letter to this is due. Item 2 The issue of proper lighting fixture spacing will be addressed with item #1 and will be noted on plans. Item 3 Lighting budget calculations recieved Calculations O.K. Item 4 General note to require fire dampers at all rated ceilings is noted on reflected ceiling plan sheet 2A280. Item 5 Applicant has extended fire rated corridor from grid line 4 to 5 at B, consequently classroom 21A4 exits to a rated corridor for one exit, and through one adjoining room, for the other required exit. (part b) this issue has been resolved by the addition of alternate egress paths which will eliminate this passage way as a required means of egress for more than ten occupants. The exiting problems at the East portion of this space plan (see sheet 2A11) were resolved by creating a new 1 hr. fire rated corridor which ends at the stair enclosure at one end and egresses through Reception room 22F7 and finally into the existing Lobby 21E5. Corridor walls and ceilings to provide for 1 hr. protection per detail on sheet A200. Applicant has revised plans as a result of meetings with this office and the tenant. Sohn e "A" located the Copy Rm. just west of col HS creating a corridor with the Conference Rm 21116 at the east. Scheme "B" located the Copy Rm. adjacent to electric closet's east wall near col 05. * Bob said that the proposed Scheme "A" would be acceptable if the following conditions were met: 1. A continous corridor would be required from the Reception are to the east stairs. 2. The corridor walls are required to run to the metal floor deck above with an ACT ceiling syatem or the ceiling is to be of the same construction as the walls. 3. Doors may be electronic hold opens tied into the smoke detection system. A11 other doors in corridor would require closers. * Bob said it would it approved to have a reception area as part of corridor thus the door 2106 could be eliminated. He said that bookcases and file cabinets could be located in the reception area, but their size, location and content would be determined by the Tukwila Fire Department. * Bob said Scheme "B" was approved as shown. He felt it preserved the open office concept, thus no corridor were required. * Bob said that the proposed corridor 23A5 satisfied his early comments for egressing from the Break Rm. This is my recollection of the meeting.
