This area is outside the scope of the WSEC condition calculation and as such given a value to "hold" wall and ceiling areas. Basement walls may also be considered under the ASHRAE formula. However, in using the value established in the WSEC Table 20 -1 (7' below grade walls) I was able to achieve compliance. Therefore, this more restrictive value was used. Also, changes in wall area from opaque doors to fully insulated (R -19) walls was not included. ASHRAE analysis of the ceiling is included.
