LOCATION OF INCIDENT: Andover Park West Baker Blvd (near Southcenter Mall)

DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRENCE:
On Saturday 1/29/11 at approximately 8:30PM, Tukwila Police and Fre responded to an accident at the
Intersection of Andover Park West and Baker Blvd. A 63 year old female was in her electric scooter /wheelchair
crossing Andover Park West. She was in the marked crosswalk.
A 24 year old man was driving his car and attempting to tum from Baker Blvd onto southbound Andover Park
West. He did not see the female in the crosswalk and struck her wheelchair knocking her out of it.
The female was transported to Highline Hospital with non -life threatening injuries. It does not appear that
alcohol or drugs were involved. Andover Park West was closed for a short time during the investigation, but Is
now re- opened.
