Any loose residue will be sand blasted off and swept away. On all catwalks on the fronts of Buildings A,B,C,D,E and F, all second and third floor back decks (44 total), and all five landings that already had carpet on the front of Building C, will finished in GacoDeck. This finish includes installing a C type drip edge on all edges not connected to a wall, then a taping coat will be applied to all drip edge, wall flashing, and any seams in the plywood deck. Then two base coats and two top coats will be applied to finish off the floor. All 4x4's and 6x6's will be coated up to approx. 3 in. Also on Buildings A,B,C,D,E,F and the Rec Building painting will be as follows. All roof fascia including rakes will be capped in white. Removing the gutters and reattaching them is included to get a proper fit. The fascia on the chimney caps (1x4) will be capped in white. On all rake eves the open soffit underneath will not get any paintwork only the fascias will get capped. Paint work to include lightly sandblasting wood to remove loose paint. Then a latex primer will be used to spot prime any exposed bare wood. Then a latex 20yr paint (lifetime warranties) will be brushed, rolled or sprayed on, one coat (white). White paint work to include all open soffits more than 4 inches, catwalk fascia and back deck fascia, all wood posts and headers, brick moldings and jams on all doors leading into the buildings, spindles, railings and stringers. This also includes painting the wood on all the steps leading down to the fronts of the buildings from the parking lot. Any new yellow board will get one coat of a tinted primer. All reattached spindles will be screwed back into the runners with the bottom trimmed at a 45 degree to about 3 /4" from the bottom of the lower runner. I walked over to city hall a couple times trying to catch Jason in his office but he was out each time. I tried to brief Dave about the subject, as good as i could. and then had him go out yesterday and take a look. ile took a picture of the new stairs at the end of the building but did not try to contact anybody at the complex. I called Ray this afternoon and asked him if he remembered anything about the problem since he was the one that posted the stop work order in the first place and also talked to Garrett Olson out there. Ray said that from what he could remember they had started what they thought would be routine repair work but then found dry rot on the wood deck under the concrete floor deck and figured they might have to replace the deck(s). Ray said the Olson guy seem amicable when he talked to him and Ray thought at the time that they would be coming in to get a permit for the work they would he doing. I went over to see if Jason was in about 4 i'M today and he was gone for the day. I then called him and left a message on his voice mail asking that he contact me next week so we could set up a meeting time to discuss the subject.
