Council Chambers
Mayor Rants called the Special Meeting of the Tukwila City Council to
order and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
ALLAN EKBERG, Council President; JOE DUFFIE, JOAN
HERNANDEZ, DENNIS ROBERTSON, CHARLIE SIMPSON, STEVE
LAWRENCE, STEVE MULLET.
JOHN MCFARLAND, City Administrator; LUCY LAUTERBACH,
Council Analyst; ROSS EARNST /RON CAMERON /DOUG MICHEAU,
Public Works; DON WILLIAMS, Parks; RICK BEELER, DCD.
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY HERNANDEZ, THAT THE
PROPOSED ORDINANCE BE READ BY TITLE ONLY. MOTION
CARRIED.
City Administrator McFarland read an Ordinance of the City Council
of the City of Tukwila, Washington, amending Ordinance 1623 and
creating a new chapter 14.04.241 of the Tukwila Municipal Code
which adds surcharges on water consumption and penalties for
violations of water use restrictions due to the water emergency
declared by Resolution Number 1208.
MOVED BY DUFFIE, SECONDED BY EKBERG, THAT ORDINANCE
#1627 BE ADOPTED AS READ. MOTION CARRIED.
MOVED BY ROBERTSON, SECONDED BY LAWRENCE, THAT THE
SPECIAL MEETING BE ADJOURNED. MOTION CARRIED.
