Inspect and maintain this stabilization weekly and immediately before, during and following storms. 22: From May 1 through September 30, inspect and maintain temporary erosion prevention and sediment at least monthly. At this time we also installed the trench that is designed to collect the future expansion of the drive to accommodate the Future garage on the adjacent lot. At the time we expand the drive, the future trench will be separated with an additional collection box. We also added a gravel shoulder with drain rock to minimize any erosion. The forms are in place at this time. The excavation was stepped down the gentle slope in two terraces, and the foundation at the NE corner is near the crest of the slope. It is our opinion that the setback from the top of the slope in this location is adequate for the conditions found on -site and no further excavation is necessary. The soil exposed was dry hard sandy silt capable of' the allowable 2000 psf bearing capacity requirement given in the approved plans. The driveway has been cut into the southern portion of the lot and fill has been placed to create the grade onto the site. The area appears to be in a firm and unyielding condition and is suitable for traffic. We also discussed the piacement of the footing rain outlet. The house will have a 4 -inch diameter PVC pipe around the perimeter to collect subsurface water at the footing level. In our opinion the quantity should be minimal and therefore the outlet could be constructed or the slope to the northeast of the house, The outlet should be tightlined to the top of the slope then a perforated pipe should be attached parallel to the slope to allow the dissipation of the water on the surface. The storm drains should not be included in this system.
