The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "A11 Purpose" (2A, 10 B:C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. (NFPA 10, 3-1.1) (UFC 10 -1 (3 -1) ) Extinguishers shall be installed on the hangers or in the brackets supplied, mounted in cabinents, or set on shelves (NFPA 10, 1 -6.6), and shall be installed so that the top of the extinguisher is not more than 5 ft. above the floor. Fire Sprinkler Installation 1. Contractor shall be responsible for and'installation of the entire sprinkler system for Buildings 1, 2, 3, and 4 and their connecting bridges /canopys. 2. Coverage shall be as required for Type V building with elevators for both above /below ceilings and in exterior /freeze locations. 3. System will include water lines from existing mains or newly installed branch lines„ 4 . £xca,ation for sprinkler mains shall be kept to a minimum resulting in repair to damaged walks, new landscape and asphalt pavement repair. 5. Contractor will submit sprinkler plans for required approval and City of Tukwila permits. Install new acoustical ceiling grid, perimeter tile (stock pile balance of tile on floor for use later), and fluorescent fixtures. Paint exterior of building wood and metal in a color to be selected by Owner. 5. Check all interior and exterior incandescent light and relamp as need. 6. Replace plastic light and wall angle in soffit lights of toilet rooms with 1/2" plastic and polished chrome finish. 7. Install nl roof purlins per details to support new sprinkler system, suspended ceilings and rehab HVAC distribution system.
