The total number of fire extinguishers required for your establishment is calculated at one extinguisher for each 3000 sq. ft. of area. The extinguisher(s) should be of the "All Purpose" (2A, 10 B:C) dry chemical type. Travel distance to any fire extinguisher must be 75' or less. VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of (Immunity Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 433 - 1851 prior to submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules.
