Contact the Permit Coordinator at 133-1851 prior to submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). Fire Front'M 630 System Fire Rated Single Web Direct Hung Drywall Features. The Fire Front"' 630 suspended drywall furring sys- tem is a general purpose system which provides a superb look, fire rated protection, and remarkable economy. Main Runners are roll formed into a single web construction for economy, and feature non - directional bayonet couplings for installation ease. Their standard length is 12' with a ''/id' wide face and are typically spaced 4' O.C. When combined with fur- ring channels, 16" x 48" or 24" x 48" modules may be formed. Furring Cross Channels are 4' long and 13/o" wide which includes a 11/4" knurled face for secure panel attachment. Furring channels are non - directional and come equipped with straight locking end tabs for quick installation, lateral pull out protection and resistance to twisting during screw fastening. Spacing is typically 16" or 24" O.C. Runners and channels form a rigid interlocking gridwork for an excellent load carrying capacity based on 1/360 span deflection. This system can accommodate any size drywall panel, up to 4' x 12'. Lights. Standard NEMA Type -G fluorescent recessed or regressed lay -in light fixtures are recommended for use with the Fire Front'" 630 System. The Fire Front'" 630 System requires the use of 504 and 502 cross tees to frame light fixtures. Surface mounted fixtures are the other type allowed in fire rated installations, provided they are directly suspended from the structure above. Both types of fixtures are covered in the component data chart, but size, type and spacing are governed by each U.L. design. In non -tire rated applications H -I -D fixtures may be used, if they are independently supported from the structure above. The ballast side should be adjacent to a main runner, and the opening is finished off in the same manner as recessed fixtures. Non -fire rated applications with incandescent fixtures (canister, high hat, etc.) typically rest on a subframe as they are usually smaller than standard ceiling modules. Extra hanger wires are required to support the furring components where the subframe is attached or it may be Independently suspended from the structure above.
