Box 88050 Tukwila, WA 98188 Attention: Steve Miller Reference: 781 Reroof Steve: A close examination of the actual loads reveals a surplus sufficient to carry the new roofing. Original calculations allowed for a dead load of 10 psf plus the glu -lam. Actual loads vary from 5.8 psf to 8.1 psf (CO 6" main). Adding roofing weighing 2.0 psf will bring the total to 10.1 which when considered with a full snow load of 25 psf results in a 0.3% overstress, well within normal tolerance. One area has an excessive overload. This being the intersection of two 6" mains with a heat unit nearby. The roofing in this area should be stripped for a 16 ft. width x the truss length. Thus, the new roofing will not cause an overload in this area. Sincerely, obert`"Raichle, P.E. Vice President ENGINEERS NORTHWEST, INC. P.S. - CONSULTING ENGINEERS 8889 WOODLAWN AVENUE N.E.
