VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of Community Development P rior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 433 -1951 prior to submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. BUILDING OWNER I AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations, The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). No application shall be extended more than once. Ascertain that panels are square. Position the 1 "x4" corner brace at a 45 degree angle from the outer corner of the top of the panel down to bottom plate. Mark 1 "x4" postion on each stud. With your circular power saw cut into stud 3/4" at each mark. Using a chisel and hammer knock out the piece of wood leaving a 3/4" recess into which you will place the 1 "x4" corner brace. Nail brace with two 8 penny nails at each stud and top and bottom plate. Repeat step 12 for all corners. 13. Now that you have panels A through D assembled, you can start the erection of the walls. Tilt up panel "A" and place it in position over the anchor bolts. Brace panel securely with 2 "x4" brace tack - nailed to ground stake. Place waetii and nut on anchor bolt§ and tighten down panel. Now that your deck is in place you have a good surface on which to work. It is suggested that you build the two gable panels and four loft panels on the deck. Raise them into plumb position and brace. Add 1 -4 "x6" header above top of stair and 2 "x4" studs above stair opening. Nail 2 "x6" con- tinuous rafter ledger in place for support of lower roof rafters. 25. Cutting rafters is simplified by using the diagram provided on the plan. Lay out and cut a rafter to size and check it fee acciracy and proper fit. (Be sure to use the proper rafter pattern, either A cr B. to make all additional rafters). 26. Erect and nail the lower roof rafters in place.
