EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is Issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). O Fire retardant treated wood shall have a flame spread of not over 25. All materials shall bear identification showing the fire performance rating thereof. Exit hardware and marking must meet the requirements of Uniform Fire Code Sections 12.104 & 10.402(a). Exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special knowledge or effort. (UFC 12.104b) Exit signs shall be installed at required exit doorways and where otherwise necessary to clearly indicate the direction of egress. Signs shall be of a contrasting color with the surrounding area and shall have letters not less than six inches high with a minimum letter width of 3/4 ".
