Handouts are available at the Building counter which provide more detailed information on application and plan submittal requirements. Application and plans must be complete in order to be accepted for plan review. VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION Valuation for new construction and additions are calculated by the Department of Community Development prior to application submittal. Contact the Permit Coordinator at 431 -3670 prior to submitting application. In all cases, a valuation amount should be entered by the applicant. This figure will be reviewed and is subject to possible revision by the Building Division to comply with current fee schedules. BUILDING OWNER / AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal. EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by limitations, The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180 days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Building Code (current edition). No application shall be extended more than once. Floor track is "U "- shaped channel. Top track is an "h "- shaped extrusion with integral roof deck trim. Panel connectors are hollow cavity posts to act as wiring chase. Posts are of two -piece snap - together design to allow easy disassembly for removal of any panel without disturbing adjacent panels, i.e. wall system is NON - PROGRESSIVE. Panels are rated U.L. Class A noncombustible, constructed in accordance with U.L. and UBC requirements. Interior and exterior surfaces are 1/2" vinyl covered gypsum laminated to a rigid polystyrene core. Panels provide thermal insulation of R -5, sound attenuation of STC -41. Panels are arranged in standard 4' widths with smaller filler panels as required; are factory cut to size for ease of installation in the field; are interchangeable with door, window, or solid panels of like size; and are easily removable without disturbing adjacent panels. Ceiling is commercial quality 2' x 4' lay -in white steel grid with 5/8" noncombustible acoustical mineral fiberboard tile, providing STC- 39 /NRC .60. Roof deck is 22 gauge 1 -1/2" deep ribbed steel painted commercial deck, minimum yield strength 33,000 PSI, provided in minimum 36" wide panels. Roof deck includes 2" high integral fascia /top track trim around perimeter walls to conceal the edges of the deck, and neoprene closures for ends of deck. Fixed windows are factory glazed with 1/4" clear tempered safety glass in aluminum frames. Glazing is fastened against 1/2" high aluminum exterior stop with vinyl gasket. No exposed metal fasteners are acceptable. All electrical components supplied meet the National Electric Code and carry UL and /or CSA labels. Electrical service to be 120/240 volt, single phase, three -wire type. Outlets and switches include cover plates, handy boxes, and 1/2" EMT conduit with connectors for field installation to the top of the walls in the recessed raceway wall posts; typically 18" a.f.f. for outlets / 50" a.f.f. for wall switches. Lighting is provided at a minimum of 80 foot candles at desk height, using recessed 2' x 4' 4 -tube fluorescent fixtures with acrylic lenses. A 100 amp circuit breaker box with 70 amp main breaker and additional breakers necessary to handle the equipment supplied is provided.
