CURRENT PROJECTS

Construction —The Punchlist walk- through happened on Feb 19 and a list was compiled of all remaining
items to be taken care of. These items will be completed over the following several weeks. The Building
Permit Final Inspection was completed on Friday, March 8th. Staff continues to work on their in -house
punchlist of items to continue to improve the details around the facility with the goal of completing all
items by the Grand Re- Opening on April 20, 2013. Some items from the list include: painting, refinishing
benches, installing benches, installing storage and organizational shelving, miscellaneous maintenance
items, repairing doors, cleaning out old supplies in storage, cleaning up at the pool and in the shop area in
the mechanical room, creating a system for the pool covers that works for staff and reduces staff time,
brushing and vacuuming the new liner, making and installing new backstroke flags and stanchions and
many other various items.
Commissioning by the contractor is in the final stages as well and once completed training will begin for
staff on the maintenance and operations of the new systems. One commissioning item staff is working
closely with the contractor on is the communication system, from phones to equipment communication.
Schedule — There was an electrical engineering issue that resulted in delaying the opening till Saturday
March 9, 2013. The issue had to do with the lighting levels of the Emergency Egress Lighting. This
prevented the Building Permit from being signed off till it was rectified, which happened on Friday, March
8th.
The pool had a soft opening on Saturday, March 9, 2013 with normal operating hours. There were light
snacks to welcome the first guests. The Grand Re- Opening will be happening on April 20, 2013 in
concurrence with the nation -wide aquatics event, April's Pool's Day.

Description - The Parking Lot & Access Improvements Project work was finished 1/14/13 on time and
under budget. Project completion and closeout process was initiated March 4 by the City Council. This
typically takes up to 90 days for all releases.
Target Completion Date: Weather Dependent (hoping for Fall but could be Spring 2013).

Description - The Roof contractor is prepped and ready to go once there are enough warm and dry days to
complete the work

Description - Brief communication has been happening between EarthCorps, Forterra, Holly (Past
Forward), Friends, and City Staff about the plans for 2013. This will be looked at more intensely in
March /April.

Description - PW is thinking of holding off till late spring 2013 for this to happen... maybe in conjunction
with some other P &R parking lot maintenance work that needs to happen.
