HomeMy WebLinkAboutTrans 2014-03-24 Item 3 - SCATBd - Regional Project Competition Process and Prioritized Project RecommendationsRegional Project Competition Process March 5 - The SCATBd TAC met on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 to review and score seven projects submitted by South King County cities for the PSRC's Regional Grant Competition Process. The following Table SCATBd Regional Competition Prioritized Project Recommendations - March 5, 2014, shows the TAC scoring results. At your March 18 meeting, SCATBd will be asked to approve the top five scoring projects (based on their averaged scores) for submittal to the King County members of the PSRC's Regional Project Evaluation Committee (RPEC). The following is the schedule for the Regional Project Competition Process. 1. March 21 - Project Presentation to King County members of RPEC — The top five SCATBd projects, along with 15 other projects, will present to the King County members of RPEC for review and re- scoring. The 20 projects include 5 projects each from SCATBd, ETP, and SeaShore, 4 projects from King County and 1 project from the Port of Seattle. 2. March 26 — King County Project Evaluation Committee (KCPEC) Review and Approve Twelve Projects - The KCPEC will review the 20 prioritized projects, and will recommend the top 12 projects to the King County members of the PSRC's Transportation Policy Board (TPB) for review and approval. 3. April 2 — King County Members of the TPB Review and Approve Twelve Projects - The King County member of the PSRC's TPB will review KCPEC's recommendation and approve the projects from King County to participate in the Regional Competition. 4. April 24 and 25 - Project Presentations to the RPEC — Project sponsors of the top 12 King County projects, along with 24 other projects, will present their projects to the RPEC meeting on April 24 and 25. The other 24 projects include 6 from Kitsap County, 6 from Pierce County, 6 from Snohomish County, 2 from Sound Transit, 2 from WSDOT, and 2 from the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency. PSRC staff will re -score the 36 projects after the RPEC presentations. 5.
