On March 7, Michelle Ruffin, a 26 year old Pierce County resident, was found suffering
from several stab wounds in the 5400 block of Southcenter Blvd. in Tukwila. She died of
those wounds a short time later. Since that time, detectives with the Tukwila Police
Department have been following up on several leads. Today, they obtained an arrest
warrant for Ruffin's husband, Christopher Ruffin. At approximately 4pm, while
conducting surveillance outside of an apartment complex in Auburn, Tukwila Police
officers spotted Ruffin and took him into custody without incident. Ruffin was later
booked into the King County Jail pending filing of formal charges. The Tukwila Police
Department would like to thank the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms for their
assistance with the arrest of Ruffin.
The Tukwila Police Department does not anticipate releasing any additional details
regarding this investigation.
