urge the RTA to reevaluate suburb suburb elements of the RTP, set a
transit goal for accommodating home -work trips, and demand a transit
system to attract them.
D.J. Mitchell, Vice President, Burlington Northern, presentation
focused on using the existing railway to service the areas from Tacoma

substitute for bus service. Mr. Mitchell did not elaborate on fares but
said he would be happy to return for further discussion should the
Council so desire.
